MM4X4 lockup kits are designed to work in conjunction with an OBD2 Reader (eg ScanGauge/UltraGauge) and each kit comes with an OBD2 Y-splitter cable to allow both devices to be connected to the vehicle. 

 

In many cases the lockup kit and OBD2 Reader are both talking to the same ECU. Consequently, for best performance some gauges and vehicles may require special setup instructions.
