What is 'the quirk'?

 

In SPORT Mode, the Pajero NT+ and Triton MQ have a quirk that sometimes:

• prevents the transmission selecting 2nd gear until above ~3000RPM (30 kph), and

• downshifts into 1st gear too early (30kph).

The work-around is to simply shift the transmission into DRIVE when below 30 kph.

With additional electronics, a software upgrade, and a modified LED/switch harness which includes an additional harness with OEM connectors, lockup-mate® now manages the action of switching between DRIVE and SPORT for you!
